Workshop on the right to communicate: here’s what happened

Last Thursday R2K, together with the SOS Coalition, hosted a workshop on the new ICT Green Paper, government’s draft framework for the next generation of policy for communications and broadcast technology. (Find out more on the workshops and the ICT Green Paper here.)

Key questions: Who controls the air waves – and to what end? How do we ensure universal access to internet and phone technology? In an age of surveillance, how do we ensure privacy is at the centre of the right to communicate?
