History

The Right2Know Campaign was launched on 31 August 2010 to fight the Secrecy Bill. The Campaign quickly mobilised a network of activists and organisations across the country. In late 2010 we began a national consultation on the future of the Campaign that culminated in our first National Summit in February 2011. The Summit adopted our Vision, Mission, and Principles – and resolved to establish democratic structures and campaign on a wide range of issues challenging authoritarianism and advancing the free flow of information.
